Only five minutes walk away from the station we are easy to find. The elegant elevation of our listed building is located at the crossroads between the town centre, verdant woodland walks, the German Gemstone Museum and an historic jewellery factory. Our building is full of light and offers plentiful and interesting perspectives on the varied architecture of the town. Many attractions can easily be reached on foot or by bicycle, alternatively use a bus or a taxi to visit the many jewellery traders and the Intergem which is just minutes away.

The Pfälzer Hof (‘felzer horf’) is a former hotel in the German gem- and jewellery-town of Idar-Oberstein. Situated in the Hunsrueck region, made famous by Edgar Reitz’s epic TV series ‘Heimat’. The house is located in the valley of the river Nahe on the West side of the river Rhine. Its topography and vine growing tradition is the reason why some people refer to this area as ‘German Tuscany’. As well as comfortable apartments with interesting interiors we present art and craft by international designers/artists. We also host artists, designers and writers, so don’t be suprised to meet some very interesting people!
